I was recommended to contact Comilo Collies via the Dog Sport community. I found Jess to be both thoughtful and knowledgeable about her dogs. Jess was able to give me information on conformation, DNA and puppy traits.

Comilo puppies are raised using both Early Scent Introduction (ESI) and Early Neural Stimulation (ENS). I had heard of these programs before, and after doing my own research, I was convinced they provided the puppies with the very best start in life.

As two of Jess's bitches whelped around the same time, Rumour had the unique advantage of being raised and fed by both mothers. To me, this speaks volumes about the wonderful temperaments of Jess's dogs and the environment they are raised in. Seeing two mothers happily work together to raise their litters was something truly special.

I trusted Jess to select the right puppy for me, knowing she had spent the most time observing the litter as they developed. I explained what I was looking for—a puppy with the potential to become a competitive sport dog while also being a great companion—and she matched me with Rumour.

Rumour has become everything I had hoped for and more. She fitted in well with my current pack of two, and has an exceptional temperament coupled with a lovely off switch. She is able to maintain focus for extended periods of time, has plenty of drive, the desire to work and best yet - loves to please.

Rumour has a strong toy drive and is equally motivated by training treats, making her versatile and easy to reward in a variety of training situations.

“We got our dream Pup from Comilo Collies, little Scout from Poppy and Bass litter. We were new dog parents and had done so much research; we wanted a breeder who cared about the puppies’ wellbeing from even before they were born. When we picked up Scout, he was already a well-rounded, well-adapted happy little man. He was healthy, happy, and ready to slot into our life (Jess had selected us because of our outdoor adventure lifestyle and we needed a pup who could stick with us through all the adventures). We also mentioned in advance that we were doing house renos, so they made sure to get him used to loud noises, which was so beyond helpful. Not only does he have the best nature, he’s literally beautiful. Everywhere we go, we are constantly told how pretty he is, and we have to agree!! We would definitely consider another collie at some stage and would absolutely get from Jess again!”
